And in case you were wondering what Marika does while her sister is practicing...
We're trying to be thrifty AND get more exercise, so when the weather is good and the girls are willing, we walk to the post office to mail my Ebay packages (a good 3-mile walk). One of the reasons I love living in our neighborhood, is that there is a horse (Baby) at one end... and about 100 feet down the street... a bunch of hens led by one proud rooster.
This was the first time the girls have ever seen the chickens up close and personal. It was interesting to see the rooster's reaction. He got right up to the girls and made sure HE was between the girls and well... HIS girls (the hens). The girls must have been making him nervous because he started to "cock-a-doodle-doo!" over and over (which made Mika clamp her hands over her ears). The poor guy! I finally dragged the girls away to end his torment...
And then it was back towards home. The girls started to get tired and lazy. How lazy, you ask?
*sigh*
