Happy Friday, everyone! Time for another "Friends with Flair" - I'm hooking up with Unity Stamp Co with a couple of creations...
With the kids back in school for over two weeks and finally getting over my cold - I feel like I'm finally settling back into a routine. Whew!
So back to the program - I created two cards, both based on sketches.
From Studio Calico's Sunday Sketch... and when I saw this, it screamed, "One Layer Card!" at me.
I tried - I really did! - but I can't live without a little bit of dimension, so I had to add the banner on top. I think this would still work as a masculine card, don't you? Unity stamps used were {...Party All Day} and You Did It! {Jillibean Itty Bitty}. Patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye.
I based the second card off the newest sketch from "The Deconstructed Sketch No. 166".
I thought it would be a great way to showcase a large stamped image, so I chose Suzi Blu's "Queen of Glitter". I tried something different and used watercolor pencil, going over the colors with a water brush - and added some Stickles for detail on the dress, crown, and her little lips. Patterned papers are from Fancy Pants (My Family).
Well, that's it for now. Hope everyone has a wonderful (and crafty) weekend and hey, don't forget to shop at Unity's Labor Day sale - they have these fabulous new grab bags and shipping is only $2.95!!!
Thanks for visiting my blog! :)
