At the girls' school, it's a holiday tradition to watch "The Polar Express" movie and wear your pajamas to school on the last day of school before Christmas break. I actually don't like it when the kids are supposed to wear PJs to school, because nightgowns seems really inappropriate and their regular pajamas are either too form-fitting or too big.
BUT! Today I was rummaging around in the study and remembered I had cut out a pattern for Marika's pajamas (ladybugs!) a couple of years ago. I hadn't been in a hurry to make it, because I knew she'd be swimming in it (at the time of cutting), but two years had passed! I had to slightly alter the pattern (because her arms had grown) but at least the legs weren't too long! Marika's thrilled because this is the very first pair of pajamas I've made for her specifically (the others were hand-me-downs from Mika) and she'll look so cute while wearing it at school (It fits! It'll keep her warm!).
Now... I need to make some more dresses for Miss Mika, who keeps growing like a weed... perhaps that should be one of my New Year's resolutions... :)

Cute! And how fun for Marika to have her own PJs. Maybe she'll grow taller than Mika and then who gets the hand me downs!
