You Go, Girl!

Have you seen the revamped 2 Broke Girls Challenge Blog? One awesome sketch is released every week - it's a great chance to use up your stash! Here is the latest sketch... followed by my take...

I didn't get as much crafting done over the summer, because Marika decided to do All Stars softball instead of just relaxing. This meant lots of practices and most of our weekends were committed. We were against her doing this, simply because she's pretty small for her age and we weren't sure she was going to get a lot of playing time. She started to take her batting seriously after the first tournament (where apparently, she was hoping to get walked - without much success), working with our neighbor friend Peggy, and starting swinging at strikes and hitting the ball. By the third tournament, had she earned the last spot (only 10 players out of the 13 can play on the field) as a main fielder and he always let her bat in the line-up. Next year, she'll be among the older girls on the 8U team - hopefully, she'll be significantly bigger/stronger/faster. If she continues to work on her pitching, maybe she'll even be one of the main pitchers!

Cardstock (DCWV), kraft cardstock (The Paper Company), bling alphabet and rhinestones (Making Memories), stamps (Unity Stamp Co), black ink (Memories, Inc.), distress ink (Tim Holtz Festive Berries), chipboard (UmWowStudio), staples (Tim Holtz), marker (Spectrum Noir)

My Friends With Flair buddies will recognize some Unity stamps on the layout - it's getting a little bit easier to incorporate them into my layouts, without thinking too hard about it. That's progress!

Thank you for visiting my blog! Hope everyone is having a great week!
