A couple of nights ago, the girls were getting ready for bed, but taking a very long time. Daddy Dude and I waited in their bedroom (to read them their bedtime stories), but finally got tired of waiting, so we turned off the light. Of course, two minutes later, the girls were done and confused about where we had "disappeared" to. "Mommy!" "Daddy!" Marika screamed. Silence. So she screamed our names again, at the top of the stairs. More silence. We heard a big, exasperated sigh and then Marika complaining loudly, "Those two know better than to leave us alone!"
