Friday's Friends With Flair

 

Hello, friends of Unity! My goodness, did you check out their latest sale? They have introduced "big" sentiment stamps - who doesn't love those? Also, their July sentiment kit is filled with all sorts of useful birthday sentiments. It's too bad that one of the images had a typo... I noticed that that particular image has been removed - but I had the perfect birthday song stamp to go with it!

 

We're catching some R&R right now, so I packed a 12x12 Iris box with ink, stamps, some Bazzill cardstock, and about 3 paper collections. Let me tell you - it's never enough! All I see is everything I *should* have brought - perhaps the most important was a ruler. *sigh* I was, however, fortunate to have brought some miscellaneous tidbits, like some inked diecut hearts and a graduation sentiment.

Mandatory Crafting... :)

At the end of every June, a handful of Daddy Dude's residents finish their program and head off into the great unknown. Before that, though, there is a big shinding to officially send them on their way. It's my job to produce a few congratulatory cards... here are the two I liked best...

I made five different ones for DaddyDude to pick four from and oddly enough, he didn't take the bottom one (which I liked best). Hmmm...

Graduation time

Supplies: cardstock (DCWV, Bazzill), patterned paper (DCWV), embellished tags (Joann's), rub-on (Scenic Route), embossing templates (Cuttlebug), rickrack ribbon (Bazzill), punched border (Fiskars - apron lace), diecut shapes and sentiment (Quickutz)

It's almost graduation time for the new class in DaddyDude's department, so it was time to make some simple cards (one thank you card plus 4 congratulatory ones). It finally gave me a chance to break out the exclusive Quickutz doctor die I had recently purchased... and did I already say how much I love my Cuttlebug???

And I REALLY love DaddyDude. He had admin time this morning and took Marika with him. I was so happy to have some "alone" time (of course I love everybody in the house, but to get 3 hours without anybody interrupting my thoughts? PRICELESS!). So I made the cards that DaddyDude needed while finally watching the rest of a taped movie (Reality Bites) on the DVR. Remember the good old days immediately after college? Uh... barely! :)
