Patterned paper (EP Playground), cardstock (Bazzill), distress ink (TH Winter Berries and Tea Dye), stamp (BG), glitter glue (Stickles), crown mask (Heidi Swapp, black ink (Memories); tools (Fiskars border punch, Colorbox foam dabber)
The weekly challenge at cropchocolate.com was to "get inky" - spatter, stain, etc. This is a pretty new technique for me (even though I have a few distress inks) so I had to go online to see ink pad techniques - but thankfully, I had the right (yet unused) tools. However, I think I still might need to get that Tim Holtz ink applicator... :)
This card is going to Marika's teacher (her husband helped out a lot, too), who is retiring and hitting the road - right away - to their new retirement home across the country. So, because I know her car is already packed to the maximum, we're just going to purchase a gift card to a fast food restaurant, so she and her husband can just stop somewhere and eat. Therefore, I'll attach a gift card to the left side of the card (inside) with clear photo corners, along with a brand-new mini SMASH journal, so she (a fellow scrapbooker) can jot notes along the way. :)

Great card. Maybe I need to join cropchocolate and get some challenges done?
