Off the Back Burner...

I don't know about you, but I have about a million things I want to do. I've been collecting things to make into hair accessories for the girls and decided that giving them as Easter presents seemed like a good idea - and good incentive.

The barrettes and buttons (ladybugs, sunflowers) were purchased at Joann's while the hairbands (covered with ribbon purchased at Joann's) were purchased from Dollar Tree, along with the rhinestones. The fabric flowers were a special find at Target (Jolee's).

Now as you know, we have two little girls who love to accessorize. I had designed this hairband holder many months ago - DaddyDude had kindly drilled holes into the cardboard tube and wood bottom and purchased the right screws, washers, and nuts - but procrastinated on pulling out my Dremel (I had to shave off part of the bottom so that the top of the screw head would be nested within the wood). The final step was covering the tube with black felt.
And voila! Here it is in use! I thought it looked quite nice... but the girls could probably use another one... uh oh...
